Skin camouflage cream is designed to reproduce the natural colour of skin which when applied following the steps below can last between 8 and 16 hours before you need to reapply it.
The process to apply the cream is a simple 4 stage process:
It is important to cleanse the area to be covered before applying the camouflage cream as it will not stick to the skin if there is any dirt or oil on the surface of the skin.
Apply skin medication such as emollients or moisturiser or an oil free sun protection a few minutes before the camouflage to allow your skin to absorb the treatment. Blot off any excess with a tissue.
The skin is now ready for the application of the camouflage cream. Apply a thin layer of cream, remembering to blend outside the area to be covered, so the match looks as natural as possible. If the cream does not go on smoothly or streaks this means there is still oil on the surface of the skin. If this is the case repeat cleanse and use treatments and protection again.
This is the final step and “fixes” the cream to the surface of the skin to give a waterproof, long lasting finish (up to 8 to 16 hours). Apply a layer of powder to the skin using a cotton pad. Allow it to sit on top of the cream for a minute or two then dust off the excess. If you find that another layer of cream is necessary to completely cover the area then repeat application and setting.
We recommend you remove the camouflage each day. This can be removed with any oil based cleanser or soap and water. This allows you to inspect your skin for any changes.
Camouflage cream is simple to use and after practising a few times you will become an expert in managing your camouflage.
