Finger exercises

This resource has been designed to help you remember the exercises your therapist has taught and practised with you.

The exercises should be done slowly.

Finger exercises

Please spend minutes doing the exercises times a day.

  1. Start with your fingers straight

  1. Bend fingers at the big knuckle joints

  1. Bend at the middle finger joints. Keeping the small end joints straight until the fingers touch the palm

  1. Tuck fingers in to hide nails and make a fist

  1. Straighten at the big knuckle joints, try to keep your finger tips in contact with your palm

  1. Straighten your fingers again.
