The Becton Centre is a hospital.
You will be staying at Ruby Lodge.
You are here because people are worried about your mood and behaviour.
Some doors are locked to keep everyone safe.
If you want to access a locked space such as sensory room or garden, just ask staff.
The staff are here to help you.
You will have a mini-team with some key workers.
Your consultant is Dr Telford.
You have your own bedroom, toilet and shower.
You may want to bring some things to decorate your room, such as photos or favourite blanket.
There are shared lounges, dining room, sensory room and an activity room.
You need to bring clothes, toothbrushes and toiletries with you.
Let staff know about any electronic devices or mobiles as they may need to be charged in the office.
Staff will help you do things that make you feel good. We will find activities you enjoy and support you to do this.
We have a school room on the lodge which you will go to during the day.
We have set mealtimes and snack times.
On the lodge you will have a health check-up.
Nurses will monitor your physical health, weight and mental health.
You may be given medication to help you feel better.
You will have a care plan and regular meetings about your care.
We can support you to see or speak to your family.
You may have behaviour or leave contract to sign.
Your nurse will explain the Mental Health Act (Section) and your rights on the ward.
If you have any questions or worries, talk to our staff.
