To clean your baby’s nappy area, use an emollient (moisturiser) with the large cotton wool squares. This will not irritate sensitive skin or drag the skin.
No do not use nappy wipes. Any nappy wipes with perfume and additives can further harm the broken and sore skin.
Yes, try to aim for nappy-free periods of time during the day wherever possible.
If you think your baby has a fungal, bacterial or viral infection, we can prescribe you an appropriate treatment.
We recommend using an ointment in a tube as a barrier for sore areas. Please do not use Sudocrem or Metanium as this is perfumed .
