Top tips when having a blood test

We can help with preparing your child for their blood test. This may include:

a visit to the hospital to get used to the room

Some things to remember:

Widgit of drink

On the day of your blood test, make sure your child stays hydrated as this helps make the blood test easier.

Widgit of warm

Keep your child warm before the blood test. Wearing gloves in winter can help.

Widgit of 30 minutes

Arrive at the hospital 30 minutes before your appointment. You will not be able to check in before this time.
