Going home from Ward 2

Medication given on discharge

Please find below a list of all the medications your child will need on discharge from hospital.

Medication name Dose Frequency Last given

Alongside your medications for home you will find a copy of your child’s prescription. Please hand this in to your GP.

If you find that your child is still in severe pain, despite having given them all the pain killers they are able to have, and allowing adequate time for them to work, then you should either contact your GP or the ward for advice. There may be an underlying problem that is causing them pain.

Remember

There should be named instruction labels on all of your child’s medication from Pharmacy, however if you ever have any queries or questions regarding your child’s medication the ward staff are available 24 hours a day to give help and advice.
