Cystic fibrosis team contacts

This resource is for new cystic fibrosis patients to know who to contact.

Cystic fibrosis unit

The cystic fibrosis unit is based at Sheffield Children’s Hospital, up the blue lift to D floor.

You can contact the cystic fibrosis team on 0114 271 7319 and listen to the options (which are listed at the bottom of this resource). Each member of our team has a voicemail for you to leave a message if we are not available when you call. However, our messages are retrieved from the answer phones throughout the day.

Our opening hours are Monday to Friday, 9am till 5pm. Our out of hours are 5pm till 9am on weekdays, weekends, and bank holidays.

Contact the on-call medical registrar using the main hospital switchboard on 0114 271 7000.

If you need urgent medical advice and cannot contact anyone at the hospital on 0114 271 7000, please call your GP practice or 111. If it is an emergency, call 999 without delay.

Cystic fibrosis clinic

The cystic fibrosis clinic is open:

  • Monday afternoon 2pm till 5pm
  • Wednesday afternoon 2pm till 5pm
  • Thursday afternoon 2pm till 5pm

Annual review and feedback clinic

The annual review and feedback clinic runs Monday and Wednesday morning. We offer 2 appointments, one at 9am and the other at 9.30am.

Specialist clinics

The specialist clinic are on Tuesday afternoons 2pm till 5pm.

The young person clinic alternates between Sheffield Children’s Hospital and the Northern General Hospital.

The diabetic clinic is every 3 months.

Peripheral clinics run throughout the year at Barnsley, Scunthorpe and Grimsby.
